How I Fell in Love with the Husqvarna Nuda 900R — And Built My Dream Bike
It all started with a random YouTube video I watched one night. It was a ride through London by Royal Jordanian — if you’ve seen his videos, you know the vibe. But what really caught my attention was the sound of the bike he was riding. It had this raw, deep tone that just stood out. I had to know what it was. Turned out, it was the Husqvarna Nuda 900R.
From that moment on, I was hooked.
The design pulled me in just as much as the sound. It looks sharp, aggressive, and somehow still modern, even though it’s from 2013. People constantly ask what year it is and are always surprised when I tell them. The Nuda just has a look that doesn’t really age — it still turns heads.
Fast forward to today: I own one. And not just any Nuda. I’ve spent months rebuilding and customizing mine to match exactly what I had in mind.
Almost everything is carbon fiber, mainly from Ilmberger Carbon, with some bits from Maxi Carbon like the battery cover. I went for a full blacked-out look — brake calipers, engine case, rear spring mount, even the bolts are black. I wanted it clean and stealthy.
I added Rizoma mirrors, brake fluid reservoirs, a Rizoma handlebar, and bar ends. The rear sprocket is from SuperSprox USA. The exhaust setup is one of my favorite parts — custom titanium pipes made by a guy in the UK I found through a Facebook group, and a rare LeoVince OEM muffler that’s super hard to find.
Performance-wise, I upgraded to Moto Master brake discs, ASV levers, a PowerCommander 5, and a K&N air filter. For protection and better cooling, I’ve added GSG crash pads and AS3 Performance cooling hoses.
The bike feels amazing to ride. It handles perfectly, sounds incredible, and honestly, it still puts a smile on my face every single time I take it out. I couldn’t imagine ever selling it — this one’s staying with me.
Big thanks to Dynojet Van der Meer for helping with the tuning and making sure everything runs just right.
From seeing it on YouTube to having my own version in the garage, this has been a full-on passion project — and I wouldn’t change a thing.
